The Story of a 17-Year-Old Girl Living with Autism

Singapore, 14 April 2015 — In the midst of World Autism Awareness (Singapore) 2015, Channel News Asia Connect released an Autism Awareness Special entitled My Daughter Priscilla through its YouTube channel. The video clip is a peek into the mind of a 17-year-old girl living with autism, through the eyes of her loving mother.

We are grateful to Mrs Christina Yap for her willingness to share the story of her daughter, who is a student at the special school here at St. Andrew's Autism Centre. We hope that her story, told through this clip, will lead an increase in awareness of autism, especially among those who may never have met a person with autism.
